I started experimenting with drugs at the young age of 12 and by the time I was 18 years old I was on a plane on my way to a rehabilitation facility in Chesapeake, Va. After my stay of 30 days in rehab. I was on my way back to New Jersey unchanged and still bound by the chains of addiction. Although I was able to stay clean for 6 months, I eventually went back to what I knew “oh so well”. I used on and off for the next eleven years and when it was all said and done, I had arrived at a place called, “Rock Bottom”. By this time, I was strung out on cocaine, heroin, pills, alcohol and cigarettes. I would say that my drug of choice was “Everything”! I was running the streets, running wild and going nowhere…real fast! I did what I had to do (short of killing someone) to feed my habit and that included robbery, theft and a host of other things.
